The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) is pleased to organize the 4th edition of the SODES Rendez-vous to be held on April 20 in Montréal. The theme of this half-day event, Future outlook for shipping: Working towards responsible, sustainable economic development, will offer an opportunity to outline major worldwide economic trends and current issues facing the marine industry and to present sustainable economic development news and initiatives.

Some details of the preliminary program remain to be finalized, but SODES will be hosting a number of noted guest speakers: Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport; Marc Fortin, Assistant Deputy Minister, Infrastructure Canada; Jean-Paul Rodrigue, Professor of Global Studies and Geography, Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Johanne Gélinas, Panel Chair, Expert Panel, Review of Environmental Assessment Processes; and Yves-Thomas Dorval, President-CEO, Conseil du patronat du Québec.
