The jury recognized the excellence of Mr. Walling’s candidacy and the relevance, for the marine industry, of his research project “Développement d’un outil d’aide à la décision pour la valorisation des matières organiques résiduelles” (Development of a decision-making support tool for using organic waste).
To quote SODES President and CEO Nicole Trépanier: “The SODES Next Generation Scholarship makes it possible to forge closer ties between the marine industry and the research sector. Applied research, in particular, offers the potential for solutions to problematic issues encountered by the industry, and the research sector benefits from an enhanced awareness of the industry’s needs.”
