Québec Marine Transport Economic Impact Study: Economics spinoffs of 2.3 billion $

SODES release today the results of a study of the economic impacts of the Québec Marine industry. The study found that maritime generated more than 27,000 jobs on land and at sea, and that 262 companies are contributing $2.3 billion to Québec’s GDP. The Québec Marine industry is a a network of more than 20 ports and terminals serving all of Québec and transhippe 110 million tonnes of cargo annually on average.
